Terms and Use

Kiso Ontake Tourism Office (hereinafter referred to as the Corporation), pledge to comply with the following policies, recognizing that proper handling of personal information is the social responsibility and the basis of our business activities.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

The Corporation faithfully complies with obligations prescribed by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as "the law"), and other relevant laws to properly handle personal information.
Personal information means, as prescribed in Article 2, paragraph 1, the information relating to a living individual and that can identify a specific individual. The same hereinafter.

2. Use of Personal Information

The Corporation uses personal information within the scope of the purpose of use, specifying the purpose of use as much as possible, unless the consent of the person is obtained in advance, or another law permits that the handling as an exception. The person means a specific individual identified by personal information. The same hereinafter.

3. Proper Acquisition of Personal Information

The Corporation acquires personal information by appropriate and fair means, and after the acquisition, publicly disclose or promptly notify the purpose of use to the person, except in cases where it is permitted to treat it as an exception by laws and ordinances. However, if we acquire personal information directly from the person in writing, we will specify the purpose of use in advance.

4. Security Control Measures

The Corporation strives to keep handled personal data accurate and updated within the scope of the purpose of use, in addition, we take necessary and appropriate measures for security control, and conduct appropriate supervision of our employees and outsourcing partners who handle personal data.
Personal data means personal information constituting a personal information database etc(Article 2, paragraph 2) prescribed in Article 2, paragraph 4. The same hereinafter.

5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Corporation does not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining approval from the subject of the information, unless such provision is permitted by law.

6. Procedure for Disclosure Request

When a person requests to disclose or correct the retained personal data, the Corporation promptly responds to the request, based on the law.

7. Inquiries and Complaints

The Corporation promptly and appropriately responds to inquiries and complaints about retained personal information by establishing a necessary system and procedures.

8. Internal Audit and Continuous Improvement

The Corporation will implement appropriate internal audits concerning the handled personal information, or make other efforts, to continuously improve this basic policy.
